The White House said today that President will follow through on his pledge to donate his salary to charity, though it was made very clear to reporters that no decision has been made on where the money will sent.

“The President’s intention right now is to donate his salary at the end of the year,” said White House Press Secretary Sean Spicer.

But Spicer then added in a bit of a curve ball, by saying reporters should make the choice.

“The way that we can avoid scrutiny is to let the press corps determine where it should (be donated),” as reporters in the White House briefing room laughed – but Spicer said he was serious.

One reporter suggested diverting the President’s donation to a journalism scholarship backed by the White House Correspondents Association.

The answers from Spicer came today after major news organizations had been pressing the White House for details about Mr. Trump’s salary, and where it was going.

Mr. Trump had said he would not accept the $400,000 salary, and would instead give it to charity.
